About Celenite
Celenite is an engineering consulting studio specializing in innovation and future-facing prototype development. I’m Catherine Diaz, an engineer, designer, and researcher with experience at both Microsoft and Apple. I created Celenite to help organizations transform early, ambiguous ideas into tangible, compelling realities.
My background spans software engineering, AR/VR, AI, interaction design, and video-based presentation storytelling. At Microsoft, I worked as a software engineer, and at Apple, I served as a prototype engineer contributing to early concept work for Vision Pro and AI-driven experiences. I also bring a solid research background, having published a first-author paper as an undergraduate while working in a university research lab.
Together, my engineering, design, research, and visual storytelling skills allow me to not only build the prototype, but also create the videos, visuals, and narrative structure that bring the concept to life for stakeholders.
What I Do
Build functional, future-facing prototypes from ambiguous ideas
Engineer proof-of-concept software for investor, executive, and internal innovation presentations
Explore emerging technology directions across AR/VR, AI, and new product spaces
Design and edit polished presentation materials, including product videos and demo storytelling
Integrate research perspectives to validate concepts and inform product direction
Deliver prototypes that serve as “living design documents” for production teams
Who I Work With
Innovation teams inside established companies
Startups preparing for stakeholder or fundraising conversations
Early-stage groups with a strong idea but no tangible prototype
Organizations that need both engineering execution and narrative clarity
